Despite many bold predictions on smart robots replacing humans, we do not believe we will witness a complete replacement of service experts. On the contrary, smart augmentation through intelligent assistants will make the work of experts more interesting and more human.

About the Founders

NoisyChannels was founded in April 2015 by two seasoned professionals with broad experience and expertise in consulting, technology and data science.

Filip and Geert met at university while finishing their studies as Master in Actuarial Sciences. During their professional careers, spanning 20 years, they have kept contact. Late 2014, Filip and Geert met again. With their shared passion for process optimization, they were wondering why organizations still leave so much (hidden) expertise unused. With new insights and possibilities of smart technologies, they decided to use the power of Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning to help organizations make significant improvements in their customer-oriented processes.

Geert is responsible for sales and marketing and other areas like HR and finance. Geert has worked in consulting and sales, as well as in operational and technology leadership roles. He was the CIO of Vanbreda International before starting his second entrepreneurial life.  In the late 90’s Geert was co-founder of Assurweb.be, the first Belgian insurance marketplace. During his career Geert has always focused on bringing value-adding business solutions through technology. He has worked for companies like EDS (HP), AG Insurance, CIGNA (Vanbreda International). Geert holds a Masters Degree in Applied Economics, a Masters Degree in Actuarial Sciences and is Master in Business Administration from Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School.

Filip is responsible for the design and development of the NoisyChannels Platform. Filip is an expert in NLP and Machine Learning, always finding the best balance between state-of-the-art and mature technologies to build solid solutions for enterprises. Before founding NoisyChannels, Filip has worked for technology companies like SAP and IBM and has done senior consulting work for CSC.  Filip holds a Master Degree in Commercial Engineering and a Masters Degree in Actuarial Sciences. The common denominator in Filip’s career is building bridges between technology and business in organizations. Filip spends his weekends at the Belgian coast reading through the newest in AI and NLP.

Danny Van Heck

SAP General Manager Public Services and Healthcare for EMEA


Danny Van Heck is SAP General Manager Public Services and Healthcare for EMEA since 2013. In this capacity, Danny manages all SAP EMEA business related to industry sectors Healthcare, Defense, Higher Education & Research, Postal, and Public Sector and drives SAP EMEA activities across all lines of business (sales, services, industries, eco-systems, channels and partners). Danny leads the execution of SAP’s strategy in Public Services; helping government to simplify and run at their best, enabling transformations towards “government of the future”, digitizing the citizen engagement and the journey towards a data driven government,

Danny joined SAP in 1993. He held various roles in consulting, sales and general management (MD of SAP Belgium-Luxemburg, Global VP of Data Management Services and GM of Public Services in EMEA).

Prior to SAP, Danny worked for Philips, was a teaching and research assistant at the Catholic University in Leuven and worked as analyst for Victoria Hospital in Canada.

Michael Humblet

Founder of Chaomatic / Sales Acceleration Expert & Coach


Michael Humblet is obsessed with designing, building, training and scaling sales machines and founder of Chaomatic, focused on accelerating revenue growth in B2B sales. Prior to this he had a 17 year career in different Sales Executive functions as Head of Global sales, VP of EMEA business development and Vice President of solutions sales. Over the last year, Michael helped over 150 start-ups & scale-ups to shortcut their time to revenue and accelerate their revenues. Next to this he is a sales coach & expert at several leading incubators as Startit.be, Imec and startups.be.

Michael Humblet is the host of the Sales Acceleration Show, a sales and marketing focussed Q&A show where he captures great insights from people excelling in the new way of selling and in knowledge of the periphery of the sales profession.

Luc Jacobs

Innovation Manager at imec and technology startup coach for iStart


Luc Jacobs is founder and Managing Partner of Spotty and Innovation Manager at imec. Luc coaches several technology startups in the istart program of imec. Before joining imec, Luc has held several positions at Siemens and Siemens Enterprise Communications. He has gained extensive experience in telecommunication; as a product manager for business communications solutions he has build up expertise in the area of contact centers and customer service. As a business development manager Luc has brought technology solutions to the healthcare sector and public services.
Next to his role at imec, Luc works on a number of own projects and initiatives.
Luc is an industrial engineer with a degree in Business Economics.
